Imaginary Beasts: The Mountain Sleeps
Nov. 30th, 2009 11:28 pmIMAGINARY BEASTS BOOK #18: WINTER HAS BEEN RELEASED.
My story is called The Mountain Sleeps, and it was illustrated by
fightfair, who is amazing.
And as an extra treat, here's the song I listened to non-stop while writing it: Yama Nemuru/The Mountain Sleeps, from the Mushishi soundtrack. (Yes, I got the title from the song. ♥)
This is the most Japan-tastic story ever without actually being set in Japan, but I had a lot of fun writing it. (All the mountains I saw/climbed/crossed in Japan had a lot of influence, of course.) Leo and Hokuto are actually secondary characters from a story I will surely write one day for
cerine, but it's a stand-alone, and you don't have to read my mind to figure out what the not-yet-existent story is about.
Anyway! I'm going to go squeal over the pretty some more. I hope you like the story!
