Yuletide Friending Meme!

Hello all! No one had posted a Yuletide Friending Meme yet, so I decided to step up to the plate. This may be on DW, but it is for LJ as well, and all you LJ-ers can comment with Open ID. If you want to meet people who share your small fandoms, want to pimp your fics, or just want to start the new year with some more friends, comment below with the following!

Have fun!

Name: Kip
Fandoms: Yuletide? Odyssey 5, Medical Investigation, Harper's Island, Terminator films, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Traveler, Chuck, Dark Angel, CSI:NY, White Boots, Newsflesh Trilogy (Deadline out in May!), Regenesis, The 4400. Non Yuletide: White Collar, Merlin, Stargate:SG-1, Torchwood. And some others I'm probably forgetting.
How many years you've been doing Yuletide: 2010 was my fourth year. :)
Your fic: Everything is up at kipperific on LJ.
After the Storm (http://kipperific.livejournal.com/21794.html) (Sarah Connor Chronicles)
Disguises (http://kipperific.livejournal.com/22163.html) (Chuck)
Time After Time (http://kipperific.livejournal.com/22279.html) (Odyssey 5)
The Way Back (http://kipperific.livejournal.com/22735.html) (Medical Investigation)
Second Chances (http://kipperific.livejournal.com/22961.html) (Odyssey 5)
DW or LJ?: LJ. I have a Twitter and a FB but they're not often used.
Journaling habits: Mostly RL but with a fair amount of fangirl squeeing. And lots of fangirl meetups. I know a lot of my flist in RL!
Other interests: Apart from fandom? There's such a thing? In RL, I'm a medical scientist which means I am a giant dork, then I like travelling, hiking, running, swimming, baking (which hurts the last of these), writing, hanging with friends, going to touristy places with friends, nights in with DVDs.
Anything else?: Umm... YULETIDE SQUEE! :D I love this challenge and it would be awesome to meet some folk in these tiny underloved fandoms.

Oh, since I know some people have completely crossed over. I'm exclusively LJ based, so only friend people who crosspost and leave comments open on LJ too.

I respect your opinions, so please respect mine, even if we don't agree.

And finally, HI! *waves*

Coding FAIL. I don't know how to do it on DW. Sorry that it looks all messy. Normally I am vaguely HTML competent. :)

Regenesis (the...books, I think?) or ReGenesis (the show)? Just curious ;)

[identity profile] krazykipper.livejournal.com 2011-01-02 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
There are books? *shows ignorance* I meant the show. It appeals to my dorky side. :) I loved it. *g* You?

I THINK there is a book series that has nothing to do with the show. At least that showed up in the fandoms list this year *g*

And yeah, show ;) I liked it, because it at least tried to employ actual science (in S1), but the last few were a bit out there, starting at hm...Jacobson's Organ, I think. And let's not even speak of the clone.

[identity profile] krazykipper.livejournal.com 2011-01-02 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, so many fandoms, so few titles.

I loved it because it did the science so well.and I enjoyed it (CSI and Bones etc. just make me angry!)

The clone was... yeah. It did not exist. They did go a little too far in the final series. I loved them though, the characters were brilliant.

And it gave us a glimpse at Ellen Page when she was still boy-ish ;) Ah Lilith, I liked you.

Yeah, the final series was very Oo but I stuck with it because it did the science really well initially. And I'm still saying that, being deeply ensconced in biology by now.

We've only got a few fandoms in common (Terminator!), but I'm interested in RL and meet-ups and baking and England, so I'd love to be friends. :)

[identity profile] krazykipper.livejournal.com 2011-01-02 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure! Over on LJ yes?

Are you from England too?

Nope, I'm American & German, but I might be moving to the UK soon. I've visited but never lived there before, so some insider perspectives would be nice!
