Hello all! No one had posted a Yuletide Friending Meme yet, so I decided to step up to the plate. This may be on DW, but it is for LJ as well, and all you LJ-ers can comment with Open ID. Fandoms: Eh, lots. Helpful, I know. So I've written for X-Files, Coldfire, Merlin, Arthuriana, Malazan Book of the Fallen, Football RPF and have created (ahem) just this year Royalty RPF (or at least it seems like my co-author and I created it because, hey, nothing out there; we mostly slash European royalty). I've dappled (i.e. read) in a bunch of others. Liiike Highlander, White Collar, Inception, Historical RPF (my favourite what is is Edward the Black Prince and one day maybe I'll write that story *sigh*), Hockey RPF just to name the most recent ones and ohgodwhatelse. I'm versatile! I love lots! I've been in anime and manga for a long while, although I don't really do the fanfic thing there. Still, lots of stuff. I also write originals. I dapple in lots of stuff.

How many years you've been doing Yuletide: Second year writing, fourth year knowing about it.

DW or LJ? (Or Twitter, or Plurk, or...): autumn_belias on LJ and rekishi here, but I don't really use DW. I also do AIM and ICQ and gtalk, but that's for when I know people better.

Journaling habits: As I said, I don't really use DW. My LJ has been rather silent this past year because I was swamped but I've picked up posting again the last few weeks. This may change again, idk. It depends on how my life pans out.

Other interests: Lots? I'm between stages at the moment. I read, I write, I dapple in lots of stuff. Oh and I don't really like football (soccer, for the Americans), usually, I watch World and European Championships. But as I said, I dapple. I might be all over something one month and not look back another, it doesn't mean I don't love but there's stuff that always takes precedence. I'm not a very fannish person, although it has happened that I was. I'm not fickle per say, I just have limited time that I use at my discretion.

Anything else?: I used to be in #yuletide a lot, but time hasn't allowed for that in the last few months, but some people might still know me from there (I mean those I don't know already anyway). But well, everything else, is best directed at my lj anyway. Oh and my LJ profile isn't very up to date so better disregard that. Oh and I LOVE books.

Fandoms: Mostly book fandoms, until I fell hard for The Vampire Diaries earlier this year. Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, Antonia Forest, CJ Cherryh, and I'm kind of on the edges of Dorothy L. Sayers fandom. But I love reading meta about pretty much anything, especially other people's writing processes.

Also, a kind of anti-fandom - I am really not rational on the subject of how much I dislike Stargate Universe. I'm happy to friend people who are fannish about it, just as long as you know I'm not. :)

How many years you've been doing Yuletide: I think it's four. *thinks* There was the Ellen Kushner year and the Sarah Monette year and the Dodie Smith year and this year. So, yeah, four.

Journaling habits: I post kind of erratically, and I post all kinds of stuff - the book reviews are public-access on DW, but I also post under friendslock about writing, sewing, fashion, fat acceptance, the things I see out of the windows of buses and anything else that comes to mind.

Other interests: original writing, yoga, the Sims, sewing, and I've just recently got into step aerobics.

Anything else?: This is the first time I've done a friending meme, because the Yuletide community is just that awesome that my feelings of 'but no one will want to friend me and it'll all be embarrassing' are overcome. :)

DW or LJ? (Or Twitter, or Plurk, or...): DW is where I currently seem to live. I log into LJ maybe once a month, but I'm not updating there. I should use my Plurk more.
Journaling habits: My journal's mostly fandom (writing and occasionally icons); I post a lot of my personal stuff elsewhere, but I do have the occasional rant that I have to post public. I rarely f-lock my journal.

Earth:Final Conflict! I loved that show. :) Spent an episode of White Collar this season going - LOOK IT'S BOON! My friends thought I was nuts.

And yeah, show ;) I liked it, because it at least tried to employ actual science (in S1), but the last few were a bit out there, starting at hm...Jacobson's Organ, I think. And let's not even speak of the clone.

Journaling habits: Usually I update about once a week, though sometimes I get lazy for a while. It's a mixture of real life, memes, and some fannish reactions. I comment a lot and like to be friendly w/ my flisters (more than just a reading list, in other words). I also post a fair amount of pictures (travel and baking).

Journaling habits: Minimal, at the moment, but I'm hoping to change that to weekly posting and more writing/commenting.

Other interests: I knit, but really I love books and movies and television. I'm a librarian and spend most of my time on children's/YA books. And I own over 500 movies on DVD and am working my way through them, one a day (308 as of today). That's about where I'm at.

Anything else?: I'm really an introvert and while sometimes I get in the mood to leave a lengthy comment, often I just can't manage to get up the oomph to be terribly active. I read anything I recognize the fandom for, though, so I do try.

I'm on rewrites now, which mostly consists of me flailing until someone is kind enough to poke holes in the novel for me to fix. If you want a novel buddy, I am totally willing.

I have a Vorkosigan fic idea. Because I am me, it is a sequel to a much longer fic that that I also have not written, a crossover, and total crack. Sigh.

I stopped watching when it changed... I wasn't a fan of Renee so it was about when she became the main character. Missed the points when the Talons were supposedly good but there was an undercurrent of vested interests.

Still a good show. Just my kind of 90s scifi. :)

Your fic: I wrote about a fifth of this year's Vampire Diaries (TV) category: Too Restless to Unwind (Damon/Stefan -- main assignment, I do not actually ship this), Some Other Direction to Drive (Bonnie & Damon), Balance Point (Jeremy & Tyler), Give to the Shore, Turn the Tide (Elena/Stefan, Damon/Elena/Stefan), and Keeps Me Alive (Jeremy/Tyler). I also wrote a short Madness treat for Easy A, Bad Influence, and a long-ass treat for Disney RPF, Scribble Down Something That's Sweet.
DW or LJ? I only use my DW to read and comment, but my LJ is updated fairly regularly -- summerstorm.
Journaling habits: I mostly post fic and talk about fic and writing and TV shows. There's the occasional movie review and other random stuff, but my journal is largely fannish.
Other interests: Movies, languages, poetry, baking now that I finally got a working oven, and I've been slowly teaching myself how to play guitar (an arduous task when you have no ear for music).
