Way late to the party, but I wanted to let you know I'm watching Mushishi (finally), and my jaw has consistently dropped. Talk about effective character and story development within a short time frame @_@ Even the weaker episodes I've seen, I've gotten invested in--and with this series, "weak" is relative.
